Can I Use My Medical Insurance for an Eye Exam?

Yes. Medical insurance is generally used for eye examinations related to a medical condition, symptoms, or a medical reason for the visit.

What If I Need a Glasses Prescription?

If you are having a medical eye examination and would also like to obtain a new or updated glasses or contact lens prescription, an additional $65 refraction fee will apply.

A refraction is the test used to determine your prescription for glasses or contact lenses. Refractions are considered a vision-related service and are not covered by many medical insurance plans.
